A NIGHT IN

A night in used to be all about opening a bottle of wine and falling asleep on the couch watching a good movie. Now that I am 20 weeks (I am half way there, yikes!) a night in has such a different meaning, they’re a title sweater and have become necessary because as I my pregnancy progresses more and more anxiety is starting to set in. I don’t how much one can prepare for the massive changes not only happening now to my body, but for the drastic change once the bebè gets here. The only thing that has helped me deal with all this change is to slow down, take some time to decompress and get back in touch with myself.

Before a night in consisted of a bottle of wine, a good movie and eventually falling asleep on the couch (from too mud wine:)) Now it’s a little different. Here are my tips for a successful night in to help you relax.

  1. Throw on the comfiest pajamas you own, if you are like me and only own frumpy old, worn out sweats get a pair. Trust me they make a difference.
  2. Poor yourself a nice warm beverage. Wether it’s alcoholic or not a warm beverage will help you relax (there’s a reason our moms used to give us warm milk at night).
  3. Grab a yummy snack
  4. Bury yourself in a good read, a book or magazine. I am currently reading Happiest Baby on the Block.
  5. Light your favorite scent
  6.  Put your phone down

      HI. I am not sure if they do. I got them at Marshalls. These are actually a size xs and they run big, so you might be able to find them
