HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am ready to take 2018 on, although I am not sure how it will top 2017 for the obvious reason. I have never been a resolution setter. I guess, there aren’t a lot of things about myself I would like to change. I am sure others would disagree, but I think that putting so much pressure on yourself to make drastic changes just leads to disappointment and ultimately feeling bad about yourself. The world already makes us feel bad enough, why do it to ourselves. I think we should all just resolve to be a kind human, ESPECIALLY to yourself.

With that being said, it’s always nice to have fun things to look forward to. My girlfriend and I are finally putting the wheels in motion to start the Podcast I’ve been dying to start. It’s not gonna be your traditional podcast. It’s gonna be such a different feel than what you are used to. We want it to feel as if you are sitting next to us having a normal private conversation, Or that maybe you just happen to be overhearing a real conversation between two close friends that you can relate to. We plan on keeping it really intimate and HONEST. I can’t wait for you guys to hear our first episode in the next few weeks!

I received some messages asking why I don’t do sale roundups. Okay, to be honest with you, I am not a big END OF SEASON sale chaser. I don’t mean that in a negative way because I absolutely do shop sales. I am just a little bit more methodical about it, I would say I am actually very tactical about it. I shop sales for Shoes, Bags, Jeans and if a sales happen to fall when I am shopping for a special occasion item, GREAT! But that’s it! Sale season has become a race to get you guys to shop under our affiliate links, which is really a smart strategy and I know I am missing out, but I truly find scrolling through thousands of products very exhausting and to tell you the truth, it’s just not worth it to me. And plus, it’s just not where I spend most of my $$ so I why would I try and get you to buy things I am not even going to buy just by simply labeling it “My sale picks”. Please know that I am only here to share with you things I WOULD BUY and recommend and hot help you make an impulse purchase simply because it’s on sale. Think of it this way, I want to help you curate a useful closet! Does that make sense? But if you want me to share how I approach sale season, I am happy to do so in a separate post.

Here is a good example of one of my sale purchases this season. A pair of grey boots were on my list for the season and these fit the bill. They have been on my radar since early fall, but I just didn’t feel comfortable paying $495 for them so I kept a close eye on them. They went on ridiculous sale for $169 and I snagged them up without giving it any thought.I I know I will wear them for a lot of seasons to come.

Hey! I am not usually one for overly trendy style, but I do happen to like this deconstructed button up trend. But, since of my cardinal rules is to not spend top dollars on trend items, I struggled to find an affordable option that fit well, and not require alterations because I don’t have time to run…
