Hi Ladies! I hope you are having a great week. Mine has been mostly annoying to say the least, but on the positive note, I don’t know if you know, we have decided to redo the entire floor in our house. The previous owner had just updated the floor to a mahogany laminate, so it is really dark brown. And being that the floor runs throughout out the entire house with the exception of the guest bedrooms (they’re carpeted) and the wet areas (including kitchen), which are a terrible tile that does not match the house at all. We originally planned on just extending the mahogany floors through the kitchen and retiling the bathrooms, but after meeting with our contractor and going over a few other things, like knocking down a pony wall that incases our dining table, we realized he would have to rip up a good chunk of the floor that is already there and being that we don’t love the floor (we were just tolerating it and designing around it) we decided to just redo the entire floor with something that fits our aesthetic. At this point we are going with a wood grain ceramic or porcelain tile for a few reasons. 1. we have two dogs and I can eventually see
us me adding one more and they would destroy wood floors. 2. Hardwood floors in vegas are a very temporary thing due to the lack of moisture and the amount of upkeep to keep them looking their best is a lot. 3. We like to entertain a lot and tile just seemed like the most durable. No worry about spills, stains or the possibility of warping. I am having a moment with emerald green right now. It’s such a luxurious color! I am so obsessed with it, that I am considering ordering these chairs for my office because I want the design to be very chic with a touch of glam. I want to step into my office and be inspired to put lipstick on, or spritz myself with a touch of perfume. Which by the way I am not glamorous at all, but I aspire to be.
