With the final stage of our home remodel scheduled and under way, I can’t wait to finally get to decorating. We’ve been in limbo because our house still felt incomplete. I plan on starting with my office. It’s going to be the only room in the house where Pete’s opinion won’t really matter because he doesn’t have a need for a home office. As long I can teach him how to use the printer/scanner he doesn’t care what I do in here.

My vision for the room is very feminine & glam, so opposite of me and my personal style. But I want the space to serve as both an inspiring place to work, but also as a place where I can sit with my girls on those days when Pete is home. Believe it or not, my accessories (stapler, tape dispense and acrylic file box) are what inspired the entire vibe. When decorating my house, I often keep in line with my personal style aesthetic, the room will be grounded with a neutral gray rug, small grey love seat and these gorgeous emerald green chairs will serve as my pop of color.  I will finish it with gold accents to really seal in the glam factor.

What do you guys think of my office plans?

XxOx, Marisela

    Hi Marisela,

Love your plans for the office! We are in the process of renovating our home in Las Vegas as well, so I feel you on the home feeling incomplete! Hang in there!

Thanks! I am really regretting the reno right now, but it will be so worth it in the end. It always is.

The weather finally got cold here so I immediately pulled down my heavy coats and hit the town. Pete always rolls his eyes at me when I buy a new coat because it’s rare we get to wear a heavy coat. But hey, I need them for travel, and for the three days it freezes…

Hey! I am not usually one for overly trendy style, but I do happen to like this deconstructed button up trend. But, since of my cardinal rules is to not spend top dollars on trend items, I struggled to find an affordable option that fit well, and not require alterations because I don’t have time to run…
