MEXICAN MARTINI

blog6-12.1-23-1

My photographer, Heather is a bartender by night so I asked her to share one of her favorite martinis with me so that I can share with you. To be honest, I am not sure that  this is called the Mexican Martini,  but that is what I am naming it because of all of its yummy ingredients. Tequila, cilantro, cucumber, agave and dash of hot sauce. I guess I should of shared this with you for Cinco De Mayo.

Recipe

2 ounces white tequila

1 ounce triple sec

Cilantro to taste

4-5 slices of cucumber

two splashes of hot sauce

A splash of agave

Half a lime

Muddle Lime, Cilantro and cucumber in a mason jar or cocktail shaker add ice, tequila, triple sec, agave, and hot sauce. Shake well and serve in a martini glass and garnish with a cucumber slice.

I love the idea that it is a new take of the vodka martini. Its a great drink to also serve over ice in a copper mug too. I love these copper martini glasses from @ pier one because I like my martinis (especially tequila) super cold and these kept my drink nice and cold until the last sip. Now i just need a copper wine glass, LOL.

XxOx, Marisela
