SLIP DRESS DAY TO NIGHT

Slip Dress

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend. Now it’s time to get back to reality. Insert tear drop emoji.

One of my favorite trends this spring/summer is the slip dress. Maybe because I am a total 90’s kid, but there is something so effortless and sexy about it. I was on the hunt for one for quite a while, but I wanted one with a more conservative hemline. Right when I was about to hang up my search hat, I found this one! Guess Where? Marshalls of course. I have been a loyal marshalls shopper for years and some of my favorite pieces currently sitting in my closet came from Marshalls. But somehow I am still surprised when I find exactly what I am looking for. Especially when its a current, hot, trend piece. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this Bishop + Young slip dress. I immediately grabbed it and wore it the next day. I love how simple it is, I also love that it hits below the knee and how it moves. And can’t even explain how comfortable it is, I could probably sleep in it. It’s versatile enough to style for the day. and super simple and sexy for night. For day I styled it with a white t-shirt for a nod to the 90’s and to also make it a little more conservative for day activities like, grocery shopping ( thats what I did in it the first time I wore it LOL) and finished the look with the most comfortable pair of Franco Sarto Slides that I also found at Marshalls, Score! For the evening I kept it super simple by pairing it with metallic accessories. I actually wore it on Saturday night for a girlfriends birthday dinner where I ate a ton and danced the night away with out feeling restricted the least bit.

A T-shirt and jeans has become my “mommyform” until I can figure out the balance of wanting to get everything done while Easton naps. The list of things that need to get done usually consists of eat, pee, pump, and clean and what I am going to wear for the day is usually at the…
