HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS!
Going into the new year, I want to change up the format to the content I bring you all. One of the things I want to start sharing more of, is my week and what we’ve been up to so I figured I would get a head start.
I have most of my Christmas shopping done. One of the positives of not having any family in town is that you can just buy online and have it shipped. I did all of that last night via Amazon, of course. I still need to buy for Pete, he’s pretty hard to shop for, so I usually end up buying him an “experience gift”. One year I got him tickets to see the Dallas Cowboys play. This year with a baby, that’s proving to be a little challenging
I mentioned in Easton’s 6 month update that he is cutting a tooth, well, guess what? He is simultaneously cutting his two bottom teeth. Needless to say, he’s been reaaaaaaal fun lately. Actually, he is taking it like a champ. I pretty much spend my day switching out his chewing toys and giving him boobsciles. We rotate between these, this and we use this for the boobsciles, but you can use it to put fruit or vegetables too.
My hair has been falling out in bunches. Guys, I am starting to get worried. I keep having nightmares that I am going bald or have huge bald patches. I am doing everything I am supposed to do, but please tell me I won’t go bald. I am still nursing but seriously considering letting it go in hopes of saving my hair. Will that help?
I bought my first pair of Levi’s Wedgie Fit jeans. I had been wanting to try them for a long time. I am a big fan of Levi’s and have been eyeing a pair of Re/Done but I couldnt bring myself to pay $300 for them. I am so glad I waited because they are amazing and look exactly the same. I recommend taking your regular size or sizing down if you are in between sizes.
I ate like poop all week long. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw I made this braised rib recipe, but I didn’t do it in the slow cooker, I put it in a dutch oven, in the oven at 275 for a few hours and I also added a dash of Worcestershire. It’s definitely a man dish.
I also made this recipe and I’ve been making it for years. It’s one of Pete’s favorite and he’ll request it frequently. I substitute the onion with shallots and omit the stock. I jus use the pasta water if I need more liquid. I also use gluten free pasta to make myself feel a little better.
This weekend we plan on taking Easton to see christmas lights. But not sure where to go yet. Thinking maybe GVR (theyll have cocktails, LOL) or Opportunity village which is more kid centric. Either way, I’ll let you know which one and if it’s worth it for his age group.
I hope you have a great weekend!
