Happy Friday! Another week has come to an end and Christmas is finally here! Hopefully you are all caught up on your Christmas  shopping. But if you are not and you’re planning on venturing out, know that you are in my prayers. I finished mine yesterday and surprisingly, it was not too busy.

On Monday we took Easton to see Christmas lights at Ethel M Chocolates. It’s free, small and bright and just the right amount of lights for a 6 month old.

This week I made this recipe. It was delicious, but definitely heavy. I usually cook something hearty on Sundays because that usually the only day Pete is guaranteed to be home for dinner.  Last night I made this one and I am obsessed with it. It was light and delicious. I did make the sauce the night before so that the flavors could marry over night.

My girlfriend and I ate at Served in Henderson. The food was good, but the service was mediocre. It was a little bit of a hike for me so I am not sure if I would go back. But if I am in the area, I would def give them another chance.

After hearing so much about Retinol, I started to incorporate this retinol serum  into my nightly skincare routine. I am already a fan of PTR products and this one had good reviews and the price was decent. I started on Monday and so far I like it, but I will let you know more in a few weeks.

I loved my Levi’s Wedgie fit jeans so much, that I ordered this pair too. These don’t look to have much stretch so I ordered my regular size andI will let you all know how they fit.

Lately I’ve been really drawn to sneakers. Maybe because I foresee a lot of chasing a baby in my near future. I am obsessed with the color on  these and these  on sale) metallic ones would be great to jazz up a casual outfit. Bot are on my list. Hopefully I will get them for Christmas… Hint, hint, Pete if you are reading this.

Easton had his 6 month check up on Wednesday. He is pretty much in the 50th percentile in all categories. Pete and I are pretty tall, so were hoping that he has a little bit of a growth spurt. After all, Pete is banking on him being a superstar athlete We kid that all he needs is Pete’s height and my man hands and he’ll be poised to be a good basketball player.

Tonight is the first time we are using our sitter. I’m so nervous! We are going to a good friends of ours Christmas party and they only live 10min away so that gives me comfort. She’ll be here for an hour before bedtime incase he does wake up and she has to go in his room, he won’t freak out that a stranger is there.

I hope you all have an amazing holiday with your friends and family. We are staying put here in Vegas so well spend our day with friends, who are like family.

XxOx, Marisela

Being a first time mom is scary AF. It’s only the most monumental thing that will ever happen to you and somehow until that baby gets here you really don’t know how monumental it is. Looking back, there are a few things I wish I knew, and a few I would do differently. Below…
